Social and Emotional Wellbeing Flexible Funding Pool

The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) is inviting eligible applicants to apply for the Social and Emotional Wellbeing Flexible Funding Pool closed, non-competitive grant opportunity. Only organisations invited by the NIAA are eligible to apply. The Social and Emotional Wellbeing Flexible Funding Pool grant opportunity enables the provision of culturally safe healing and social and emotional wellbeing supports to First Nations individuals, families and communities impacted by recent traumatic events, where need cannot be met through existing sources. A total funding amount of up to $300,000 (GST exclusive) per grant is available for short-term, one-off grant activities that address immediate community need. All funded activities must be grounded in culturally safe practices and tailored to meet the priorities identified by community. The objectives of the grant opportunity are to: enable the NIAA to readily respond to urgent and emerging community needs following significant incidents causing trauma support individuals, families and communities to better cope with trauma by strengthening resilience and social and emotional wellbeing. The intended outcomes of the opportunity are: increased capability and capacity of eligible providers to quickly respond to the wellbeing and healing needs of affected communities. First Nations peoples and communities impacted by significant traumatic event/s have timely access to high quality, culturally appropriate SEWB and healing supports. participating First Nations peoples report that they are supported to better cope with major trauma, process trauma, and mourn loss in a healthy way.
