Open now · Closed Non-Competitive · GO8656
This closed non-competitive grant opportunity will provide funding to eligible organisations to deliver a coordinated approach to reducing the impact of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) across Australia. It seeks to foster best-practice initiatives through the development and implementation of accessible resources, enhancement of data collection, and evidence-based strategies. By supporting research, service delivery, and targeted interventions, the grant will empower communities, professionals, and families to better recognise, prevent, and manage FASD, ultimately improving outcomes for those affected and reducing the incidence of prenatal alcohol-related harm. The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to: • reduce the prevalence and impact of FASD across Australia • minimise stigma and improve quality of life for people with FASD • decrease harm from prenatal alcohol exposure and enhance health, social, and economic outcomes, and • promote equitable access, especially for priority populations such as First Nations people, women with substance use issues, affected families, and those with co-occurring conditions.
