The Business Benefits Finder is the federal front door where Canadian support programmes are indexed together across departments, rather than sitting on each department's own site.

It aggregates instruments of different kinds (grants, contributions, loans, loan guarantees, tax measures, wage subsidies and advisory services) alongside each other. That breadth is its strength as a directory and its weakness as a feed: it answers "what support exists for a business like mine" rather than "what can I apply for by Friday".

Because it mixes instruments, the type matters more than usual. A repayable contribution, a tax credit and an advisory service are not comparable opportunities, and a listing that treats them as one list requires the reader to check what each one actually is.

Its eligibility data is unusually structured for a government portal: corporation type, employee bands, industry classification and province, which is genuinely useful for filtering.
